About This Event
Palm Sunday is a Christian observance marking Jesus Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem, when crowds welcomed him
with palm branches and shouts of “Hosanna,” as foretold in biblical prophecy.
It bridges joy and the approaching events of the Passion, recalling the image of a
humble king arriving on a donkey to bring peace.
Rooted in 4th-century Jerusalem processions that retraced this entry,
it has endured as the opening of Holy Week in Christian tradition.
